The Diocese of Helena will be organizing a delegation to participate in the 2022 National March for Life in Washington, D.C. scheduled for January 21. You are invited to join us!
Basic Information:

We highly encourage local parishes/schools to organize a trip together and complete their registration together.
Minors (18 and under) must be chaperoned by a Safe Environment-compliant adult.
The individual and/or their local group leader assumes the responsibility for coordinating their own travel to/from D.C. and, in the case of minors, coordinating a Safe Environment (VIRTUS)-compliant adult chaperone.
ALL ADULTS (18+) MUST BE VIRTUS-COMPLIANT!
Deadline to reserve your spot is December 15. (Registration fees are due in full by January 1).
Dates: January 19-23, 2022 (Plan for two travels days: Wednesday, Jan. 19 and Sunday, Jan. 23, so your entire trip will be leaving Wednesday, returning Sunday.)
Estimated Cost: $1,200 per person. Travel to/from D.C. is to be arranged by the individual or the local parish/school group leader, and is estimated to be $500 (airfare, ground transportation, baggage fees, etc.).
Registration is $500 (this includes a $100 non-refundable deposit) and includes includes: hotel, ground transportation in D.C., admission to events, and some food. This is to be paid to the Diocese of Helena by January 1, 2022.
Who can go: All ages are welcome!
Minors (18 and under) must be chaperoned by a Diocese of Helena Safe Environment (VIRTUS) trained adult. Those under 14 (8th grade an under), must be chaperoned by a parent/guardian.
We are limited to 51 total participants. Registrations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Your spot is not reserved until we receive your $100 non-refundable deposit.
Discounts and Policies:
-Children under 2 and who can sit on your lap are free to attend.
-Those aged 2-6 (Pre-K/K) will be charged $200.
-Children who are not yet in high school (~0-14 years old), must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
-Those in grades 1-8 (~7 to 14 years old) will be charged $400.
-High school youth (grades 9-12) must be accompanied by an adult - not necessarily their parent/guardian - who is safe environment-compliant (VIRTUS).
-All adults (18+) must be safe environment compliant (VIRTUS).
Refunds: : Participants must submit a $100 non-refundable deposit with their registration. Full refunds (except deposit) will be granted for cancellations on or before January 1. No refunds after January 1.
Covid-19: Things will likely change in the next few months. Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are gathered. We cannot guarantee that participants will not be exposed to COVID-19. Participant sand their families should evaluate their own risk when determining whether to participate; they acknowledge and agree to assume these inherent risks associated with attendance. These risks include the potential for lost registration fees or other associated costs if the event is cancelled or if they choose to withdraw their participation because of the pandemic.

Payments:
There is a $100 non-refundable deposit. Your spot is not reserved until we receive your deposit.
Full $500 registration fee must be paid on or before January 1, 2022.
You will have the option to pay by card when you submit this registration, or you may print an invoice to send payment by check. To pay by check, please send a copy of the invoice with a check, payable to "Diocese of Helena" that includes "March for Life" in the memo, to the Chancery at:

Some Other Definitions/Notes:
Adult: 18+: An adult is someone who is 18 years old AND is not in high school. (Seniors who are 18 are still considered to be a "Youth Participant.") All adults will be expected to comply with all Safe Environment (VIRTUS) policies. Only those who are 21+ may serve as an official Adult Chaperone. Young adults who are 18-20 and not in high school are welcome to participate as an individual but may not serve as a chaperone.
Youth Participant: A person who is under 18 or has yet to graduate high school. (Seniors in high school who will be 18+ years old at the time of the March are still considered youth participants.) All youth participants must be chaperoned by a Safe Environment (VIRTUS)-approved chaperone. High school youth (grades 9-12, roughly 14-18) may be chaperoned by any adult (21+) who is Safe Environment (VIRTUS)-compliant. Those who are under under 14 years old must be chaperoned by a parent/guardian.
