Youth & Family Ministry How does a person receive faith in the Lord Jesus? For many people, the family is a significant instrument by which God brings faith. Parents play a key role to share the faith as they pray for their child, have devotions for their child, witness to their child, encourage their child, bring their child to worship and Sunday School. Their own example of faith is a great teacher for their child. Here is what the Bible says about the importance of parents teaching their children: You shall teach them [God's Word and commandments] to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 11:19) One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. (Psalm 145:4) Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord. (Ephesians 6:4) How do we help parents and families in their important job of passing the faith to their children? We do so through ministries such as Sunday School, Preschool, Youth Group, Vacation Bible School, Confirmation Class, Two and You, Youth Music Ministry.
