The rector search process (to be referred to as the Rector Transition Process, or RTP) will primarily work via two committees — the Profile Committee and the Search Committee. A third committee, the Transition Committee, is often formed after the new rector is selected. The Profile Committee has been charged by the vestry to gather input from the congregation and to develop a Parish Profile that describes the church’s history, role in the community, current activities, and long-term needs and aspirations. The Profile Committee will provide the completed profile to the diocese who will post it and work with the Search Committee of the vestry to call our next rector. The St. David’s Profile Committee has been established with 14 members (parishioners as well as select church staff). The Committee began its work in late June and intends to gather input from the congregation for the Parish Profile through a survey in early September, as well as from small listening groups to be conducted following the completion of the survey. The Profile Committee is providing this form as an additional method for parishioners to share feedback and ask questions.
