Families who desire communion instruction for their children are invited to come to a time of learning with their pastors. The pastors will meet with children and their caregivers to learn more about what happens at the table of Holy Communion. All people are freely welcome at the table, and this class is not a prerequisite for children to receive communion. Instead, it is a tool for caregivers to utilize in partnership with the church, as together we nurture children in their walk of faith. We will cover what happened at the Last Supper, the elements of bread and wine at communion, and what it means to receive this gift from God freely. For a portion of our time, families will learn together, and for the remainder of our time together, we will work with children and caregivers separately. Children who attend this class are invited to participate in their First Communion on Maundy Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 7:00pm. The class is Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 9:00am in Room 200 of the Love to the Max Center.
