Submit a photo/video of your Nativity scene by December 13, 2020.
Winners will be declared in 3 Categories:
"Traditional" - "Evangelization" - "Teamwork"
All submissions will be considered for all categories. (You don't need to designate your submission for a specific category.)
Traditional Category: This category will be judge based on its display of traditional Advent/Christmas/Nativity scenes. Size and the ability for the public to easily see this display are less important in this category. Think "beautiful," "craftsmanship," and "authentic."
Evangelization: This category will be judged based on how public and how much "Good News" it shares. Size, the number of lights, and how many people can see this are the most important factors in this category. Think "big," "bright," and "hopeful."
Teamwork: Although we must maintain social distance and take other appropriate precautions, this category will look at how many people participated and how diverse of a group participated. Many parishes and communities have long-standing traditions of decorating their church for Advent/Christmas. We want young people to be a part of this tradition by contributing their own gifts and talents in collaboration with those who lead those long-standing traditions. Our goal is to foster real, inter-generational fellowship within a parish community. Think "collaboration," "sharing," and, well, "teamwork."
All submissions may be used by the Diocese of Helena and its respective entities (e.g. OYYAM, Legendary Lodge, Stewardship Services, etc.) in all of its communication platforms, including social media, website, print, etc, and the Diocese of Helena retains the right to edit submissions as needed for publication.
Please provide a brief description of your display, including:
Who and how many were involved: Both individuals and groups is helpful (e.g. "15 Knights of Columbus provided...", "12 youth in our Parish Youth Group did...," "Sr. So-and-So participated by...," etc.)
Describe Pertinent Details of the Display: How many total light bulbs, how old the Nativity scene is, where it was displayed especially how the public can view it, your theme or message, other unique details, etc.
